Tongue Thrush
THRUSH during pregnancy???????
has anyone ever had thrush during their pregnancy!? i'm pretty sure that its what i have. what were your symptoms? mine are burning tingling sensation when i eat certain food esp citrus, white tongue, and white patches on the back of my throat, difficulty swallowing. im currently taking oral nystatin.. what did you take if you had thrush during your pregnancy? thanks for the answers its been so irritating... this wholoe thrush thing. appreciate it:):)

- I didn't have it, but my daughter used to get it all the time as an infant. It sounds like thrush and you should contact your doctor right away for treatment.
- thrush is just a yeast infection of the mouth really. many infants get it during birth a a result if teh mother had a vaginal yeast infection. it is no big deal. i never had it but i am sure it probbaly is irritating, i bet it may be very itchy as well. as if being pregnant during the summer isn't bad enough good luck to you
- you can get pills now, but I read that thrush doesn't like an alkaline environment, so go for some yoghurt (both ends) and see your doctor beforehand to check about the pills and the pregnancy
