Tongue Thrush

How to get rid of a white furred tongue?

I went to see my GP about having a whitish furry substance on my tongue. I thought it may be oral thrush as someone else on here said. He looked in my mouth and said it wasn't oral thrush, that oral thrush is seen in blotches and can peel off the tongue, leaving a sore patch underneath. He said that having a furred tongue is relatively normal, and that I can help by drinking more water and maybe taking vitamin C tablets. The problem is, I've been doing both of these things for the past six months and I still have it! What are your experiences with this, and how can I get rid of it? There must be a way!

  1. Brush your tongue with your tooth brush, after brushing your teeth. Then, wash your mouth with clorohexidine 0.2%, twice a day (you can get it at any drugstore without prescription). After that don't eat, drink or wash your mouth for 30 minutes.
  2. I used to get that Just brush your tongue but like brush all the way to the back at least twice a dayand yea drinkw ater and brush your teeth after sugary junk
