  1. The only way I know how to tell is by getting in their to see if it wipes off.
  2. babys get thrush alot if it does not come off it is and if u can get it off it come right back its thrush u need to see a dr its ok they give meds it goes away
  3. With thrush the baby would be in pain and have a fever. My diabetic brother had it a few years back and he was miserable. Drinking was all he could do so maybe the amount of formula wouldn't change much. Is he acting different, kinda cranky or miserable? Or a fever? If so maybe call the pediatrician just to ask what he/she thinks.
  4. you have to open his mouth and wipe it off with a washcloth... use your finger to open his mouth.... it may upset him but you can definatly open his mouth...if its thrush it wont come off if its formula it will... even if it is formula tongue it can turn into thrush so really either way you should wipe his tongue after feedings.... Thrush is a raw tongue and causes baby pain.... does he seem to be a little cranky.? any fevers? never hurts to take a trip to the pediatrician when it comes to babies health..
