is what i have on my tongue thrush?
I've been periodically getting these kind of painful white little things on my tongue since I can remember and I've never known what it was or how to get rid of it. And when I use mouthwash it tends to hurt a lot more only in the area where the white things are. They are also generally on the front of my tongue.

- What you describe sounds like your dealing with a Yeast Infection and that is a transferable infection from one person to another...When you think you have gotten over it you can get it quickly back from who ever you gave it to you or gave it to you in the first place....You need to see your doctor of the proper treatment. The Denture Pro.
- i dont think its thrush, maybe canker sores?
- it could be especially if you were taking antibiotics it's nothing to worry about, just go to the dr and they will give you this liquid stuff to swish around in your mouth and swallow twice a day, you do this for like 4 days.
- Are they different shapes? could be geographic tongue, very common and completely benign. It can be sensitive and often triggered by acidic foods. Watch if there's a pattern to when they're appearing and you maybe able to cut out certain foods. Same for canker sores, they're often triggered by acidic foods or nuts.
