thrush or milk tongue?
my 3 week old daughter has a white residue on her tongue and it seems to be kind of painful when she feeds (i bottle feed her) but i cant tell if its thrush or just milk left on her tongue. is there a way i can figure it out. i talked to the dr and she said that milk would not stay there it would wash away eventually. i have a dr appointment for her today just to be on the safe side but i would like some opionions please and thank you.

- Her tongue wouldn't stay white all the time from milk, only for a few minutes after she feeds. I would def take her to the dr.!
- If you have a syringe or something try squirting some water in her mouth to kind of rinse it out. If it's milk it should go away, if it's thrush it will likely stay. You can try to wipe it away with a wet rag too. Check her cheeks and between her lips and gums as well.
