Tongue Thrush
Is thrush just when your tongue is white and no symptoms? I think I might have thrush but im not sure, help!?
I burnt my tongue and after wards ate sunflower seeds. All the salt stung my tongue but I kept eating them, then my tongue turned white. Im scared because they said thrush is when your tongue is white and people who are HIV positive get thrush. I don't have any symptoms, my throat isn't sore, I don't have a fever or anything. My tongue is just white and annoying to look at. Plus I used a tongue scraper and now it hurts. I just want to get rid of this white stuff on my tongue. Its been there for about 3 weeks now. Im praying I don't have a std, its just severely burnt. Either way, I need help on what to do. What do I take to make it go away? Im scared... please help. thanks thats helpful because i did use an asthma inhaler, and I dont have patches or sores in my mouth. my tongue is just white and it wont go away which was making me kind of nervous.

- Not sure what is going on with you, but just because your tongue is white doesn't mean you have thrush or HIV.
- A white scum on your tongue can be from eating dairy, having a cold, taking asthma medication or a number of things. Thrush is usually white patches associated with some kind of sores and shedding of skin.
