Why does my baby have yellow on his tongue? Thrush?

I have noticed that he has a yellow coloring on his tongue. I cleaned it with a finger brush thing and a couple days later it is back. Is this just milk? Could it be thrush? He doesn't have any spots that I can see on his cheeks which I thought you would see with thrush. He has an apt later this week so is it okay to wait until then to ask the doctor? He is 11 weeks and breastfed

1. It's probably just from milk if you haven't noticed any other white patches in his mouth. My breastfed baby usually has a bit of a coating on her tongue as well.
2. It may be the breast milk, but he may have thrush. It is easily cured with meds the doctor can give you. If he has thrush and its just on his tongue then its probaly not a bad case. I think it would be ok to wait till you go this week, but that would be totally up to you..
