I am breast feeding and I think my baby has thrush on tongue!?
I am breastfeeding my 6 week old and I noticed a white patch with some rounds bumps on her tongue. Is this thrush and if so how is it treated?

- It does sound like thrush! If you take her to the doctor, they will prescribe either Nystatin or Gentian Violet... which you apply to the babies mouth. Also, you will require a cream for your nipples. It takes about a week for it to go away.
- it may be thrush - or it may be just the milk, check to make sure it's not. If it's milk, it'll go away nottoo long after a feed, if it's thrush, it'll stay and get worse and even show as clotted / cottage cheese around the edge of the mouth. The doctor will give you both something to get rid of it easily if it is.
- Possibly, usually it's all over tha tongue. If it is though, get a damp washcloth and wipe it off with ur finger.
- If it doesn't wipe off with a wet washcloth, it is thrush. Usually you will feel it on your nipples first. They will burn and you will have sharp stabbing pains every now and then.
