what is the diffrence between oral thrush and coated tongue?
I sometimes have a pale colered tongue or sometimes a thin white coating near the back my tongue only on my tongue. Some people on this site have been saying that it is thrush, but i have now bumps or pain? could it still be thrush?

- Try brushing it with a toothpaste and toothbrush- even through the gagging, if it doesn't come off try eating a container of yogurt everyday. Build up from food will come off with a toothbrush- thrush is an oral yeast. If it continues seek advice from your physician.
- Thrush is a yeast infection of the mouth. Look it up.
- People who have thrush usually have either AIDs/HIV. SO if you are not one of those people dont assume it is thrush. However visit a doctor or dentist.
