Why does my 10 week old son stick his tongue out so often?
I know babies are always pulling faces and things but he constantly sticks his tongue out! It looks like he's trying to push something out of his mouth even when theres nothing in there! People have actually commented on how often he does it! I never seen a baby do it that much before! He had thrush and I thought that was why he was doing it but it's well cleared up now and he still does it! I know this probably sounds silly but i was just wondering?

- Maybe he's teething, put a little rum on his gums
- he may have discovered he can do it and has made a habit of it...if ur concerned ask your ped next time you visit...
- Cause he's got a cool tongue. He's prolly just learning about it and experimenting. Wait till he finds his wee wee. lol
- my seven week old does that, i wonder if it's something to do with breastfeeding (that is if u r breastfeeding), .
- hey! its veryyy common for babies to do this.... its like when they randomly start gurgling ..they have no reason to do it... my next door neighbours baby son does it all the time and he looks like a lizard when he does it... my nephew does it aswell its just a habit.. hope this helped
- my son is about to be 11 weeks and has been doing the exact same thing. I have noticed he only does it when he is happy. I just assumed he had discovered something in his mouth to play with? LOL He does it so often we call him Lizard boy...I wouldn't worry, he's just being a kid :)
- could be teething, could be trying to get some left over milk, its something new for the bub could just be that , dont worry my daughter did not stick her tounge out until i started giving her teething rings to chew and suck on
